MADAME X IS TAKING YOU ON A ‘SCENT’IMENTAL JOURNEY THROUGH AFRICA
An African ‘Scent’imental Journey - Perfume-Making Workshop
An exploration of African botanical wisdom, the healing power of plants, and the beauty of fragrance creation
Level: Beginner-Friendly | Intimate Setting | Attendees: Men, Women, Kids (10+)
Fragrance is memory. Fragrance is history. Perfume has African origins. In this immersive class, we trace the aromatic threads that connect the African diaspora — from ancient Egyptian to West Africa — and turn history and natural botanicals into a bottle of your own making.
This isn't just a perfume workshop — it's a sensory journey through ancestry, migration, and the plants that have carried culture across centuries.
Taught by Madame X and expertly guided by Lakenda Wallace, our professional perfumer, you'll learn the basics of scent-blending, explore the historical and cultural significance of African aromatics, and leave with a custom perfume that tells a story only you can tell.
Don’t let the name “perfume” fool you. Fragrances are created and made for every body (no pun intended), so we encourage men, women, boys and girls to join us and make their own signature scent.
